How to get there? 2 hours driving from Puerto Plata or Santiago de los Caballeros International airport (Airport Code POP or STI). Both airports have daily direct flights from New York, Miami, Puerto Rico and major European cities. Pickup and drop off at the airport can be arranged by car or by helicopter (20 minutes). Getting to Punta Rucia is the fun, going west; you follow a very scenic road and trail. Consider too, to land at the capital Santo Domingo (Airport code SDQ),It is 4H30 driving from Villa Playa.
